Innovation in Education

Civil Rights

It was February 1, 1960 when our good friend Clarence Henderson took what today is a simple and non-heroic act of sitting at a lunch counter at the Woolworth’s in Greensboro. He followed his convictions and did the right thing for the right reasons.

We are privileged to bring him on to the schools during black history month to speak with every student and every staff member to share his experience. His message is clear, his sacrifice paved the way for others that now have total access and freedom in the United States of America
